Oh, thank’s to you Mike - I’ve add the tag’s to most of my sites and it works fine.
Sometimes there are no problems - only some unknown things
I was wondering how good results on mowser.com are on sites which are 100% not designed for mobile devices…

Missed this comment here, sorry. We’re doing mobile detection by using the alternate media=handheld header:

That way if all the adaption services use it content owners don’t have to worry about the way that Google does it vs the way that Mowser does it vs the way that Novarra does it, etc. If all you have is mobile content, with no web version to point to it from, just set the alternate version header pointing to the current page. I call it the “this is mobile” flag, but it wasn’t my idea, lots of folks seem to be using it:

thank’s for your comment. This service is pretty cool, but only one simple thing should be changed: If a website supports mobile devices like this weblog, than the service should’nt do anything - only redirect to original page.
In my eyes this will not so hard to do - just send an mobile-device-header to sites so autodetection will work and check if an mobile-device doctype like
< !DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//WAPFORUM//DTD XHTML Mobile 1.0//EN" "http://www.wapforum.org/DTD/xhtml-mobile10.dtd">
is in response of site.
I’ve just add some nice options in this plugin for mowser.com and a search box and category-tree-list and tree-siteoverview and css-options and some bug-fixes and some other small things…
It will be online in a few hours…

Very cool, that’s a great feature to have. I’ve spoken with Andy a bit about sending external links from a blog through a content adaption service so that readers can follow the conversation. Of course, I’m working on Mowser, so I would love for that to be an option. But in general, I think it would be great to provide folks a way to mobile enable all their outbound links in general. Mowser, Google’s Adaption gateway, Skweezer, we all work pretty much the same way. If you can pick the links out of a post you can provide the user a drop down of services to use for outbound links. For Mowser all you have to do is prepend http://mowser.com/web to the URL to get a mobile friendly version.
